Amerigo Vespucci was not only known as a great explorer, but as the person who discovered and calmed the Americas. He mad several journeys across the
Atlantic ocean on a quest to map out the world, but he came back with so much more. He came back with a new nation. Vespucci was such a significant person in history he even got two continents names after him. In his later years Vespucci settled down in Seville, Spain. On February 22, 1512, Amerigo Vespucci died of malaria, just one month shy of being 58 years old. |
